Pedregalejo Experience

Our most authentic experience, combining culture and gastronomy

Experience Box gives you the opportunity to discover the most genuine area of the city of Malaga, the one that is off the beaten track for tourists and visitors and undoubtedly the most "malaguita" and authentic part of the capital of the Costa del Sol.

We are talking about "Pedregalejo", the fishermen's district, one of the oldest in the city and the one that will undoubtedly leave you with the best taste in your mouth when you remember your visit to Malaga in the future.

We will start the experience dividing the group into subgroups of about 20-30 people, each of them led by an official guide expert in this district who will be in charge of guiding the participants through the different enclaves of the visit. We will offer audio guides so that the communication between the guide and the visitors is perfect.

Although we will be flexible depending on the schedule, we will usually start the tour in the western part of the neighborhood, which includes a visit to the Balneario del Carmen and the Nereo Shipyard-Museum, where we will have a ropes workshop accompanied by a tasting of sweet Malaga wine.

Afterwards, the concept and history of the "jábegas", typical rowing boats of Malaga, will be explained. Depending on the condition of the sea, the visitors will also be able to get on them and sail for a few minutes.

As the group walks eastward through Pedregalejo, we will attempt to meet and interact with some neighbors, including some fishermen.

The experience will end with a sardine skewers workshop on the sand, accompanied by a tasting of this very typical Malaga-way of enjoying these fish in a typical beach restaurant (“chiringuito”).

Throughout the 2-3 hours of the experience, our guides will provide a lot of interesting information about Malaga and this part of the city, from a historical and anecdotal point of view. They will also interact with our guests and answer any questions or doubts that may arise.

In addition, the experience can be completed with our professional photography/videography service and even with lunch or dinner at the beach chiringuito.
