Volkswagen Commercial Fleet Presentation - 2012

VW FLEET PRESENTATION

In March 2012, Volkswagen has chosen Southern Spain to present the upgraded 4Motion capabilities of its commercial « hard work » fleet. The automotive event has been organized by a consortium of companies, including Marbella based Experience Box as local project and venue manager and a few other event organizers and DMC's from Mallorca and Germany.

The cars presented were the Caddy, the Amarok Pick-up, the T5 Rockton Transporter and the amazing Crafter van that now offers an off-road system built in collaboration with the well-known Austrian company Achleitner. The off-road version of the van features a central and back differencial lock, with option to include a front differential lock also. No need therefore to mention the astonishing capabilities of this vehicle, that has impressed even the pure 4×4 professionals and has without doubt ben the "star" of the event. 

The objective of the presentation was made clear by Volkswagen : show  to the Worldwide press and dealers how efficient and performant the commercial fleet is in real and EXTREME conditions ! To achieve this, Experience Box has proposed a PURE 4X4 track in the « Serranía de Ronda », inland Andalucia. This private off-road track offered incredible views and very sunny days, which were other reasons for chosing it.  The circuit, usually used for leisure 4×4 events, was indeed found, rented out and prepared by Experience Box to welcome this event in great conditions of quality and security, with an important focus on the demonstration of the exceptional capabilities of this fleet (diff lock, HDC, etc). 

The off-road area also featured an Oldtimer Transporter and several utility vehicles (fire truck, breakdown trucks and pick-ups from the Dakar rally, etc), there to remind us all that Volkswagen has always been one of the leaders in this very specific market !

Project management was also done by the members of the consortium, and included :

• airport meet & greet, 
• roadbook to the circuit, 
• parking and car "swap" solutions, 
• catering at the airport, at the track and at the hotel
• access management, 
• technical support
• accommodation in Marbella
• health and safety (ATS)
• logistics (generators, toilets, etc)
• etc.

A total of 50+ persons have collaborated to the success of this vehicles presentation in Andalusia, and we are very proud to have contributed to the success of this great event.
